Two large pieces from Emma’s graduating MFA exhibition, Membryonics, were on display in the Women’s Studies exhibition space in the Fall of 2011. These large works incorporate paint, hand cut wood veneer, and fabric in order to represent and reflect on the internal spaces of bodies, with specific gestures towards feminine reproductive bodies.

Emma is an artist currently based in Pender Island, where she lives with her partner and two daughters. She earned her MFA in Painting at the University of Alberta in 2011.
